Tae Kwon Do
Mr. Mike Rush and Mr. Ronnie Tunac head our Tae Kwon Do program for men, women, children, co-ed.
Children's classes held at separate times. This class will give you the experience of a
traditional form of martial arts. You will learn blocks, punches, kicks, and patterns. It is a
great workout for the entire body. You will learn different types of self-defense moves as well. Tae Kwon Do has helped improve cardio, balance, weight loss, self-confidence,
flexibility, muscle tone, strength, energy, memory, and stress relief. Curriculum
includes: stretching, sit-ups and push-ups, kicks, punches, light sparring, moderate and
controlled contact with protective gear, no striking to the face, and self-defense.
Traditional uniforms are worn, white through black belts.
We do not charge for color belt advancement at UMMA. We believe that belts should be earned, never bought.
Once you earn your yellow belt which normally takes less than 6 months we teach take downs, sweeps, Jiu Jitsu, Kickboxing, and Muay Thai Technique making you a well rounded martial artist with both stand-up and ground skills.

Lil' Ninjas Program Information:
The Little Ninjas Program is a detailed curriculum that focuses on improving preschool-age children's basic motor and listening skills. These skills will help them enter society with .a more confident and enthusiastic outlook. They will become better students at school, better listeners at home and more ambitious towards the future. We believe the time between the ages of 4 and 6 are the most important years of a child's development. Our program will enhance positive development in a fun and motivating way.
The Little Ninjas Program will also prepare your child for our Children's Martial Arts Program. In the Little Ninja classes, your child will be exposed to positive social interaction. They will learn how to work with others and follow directions from their instructors. Our Little Ninja Instructors are good role models who are trained specifically to work with preschool-aged children.
The Little Ninjas curriculum consists of developing 8 Major Skills that are necessary for participation in any sport or activity. The curriculum also contains 8 Little Ninjas Personal Development Skills that are used to reinforce family values. Upon complfetion of our Little Ninjas Program, your child will become focused and motivated to achieve any goal they set in life!
8 Little Ninja Skills:
The 8 Little Ninjas skill requirements are composed of physical and mental benefits. The .• following are the skills with the benefits from participating in the. Little Ninja class:
Skill #1: FOCUS - This skill will help your child's aim, listening skills and reaction skills. They will excel faster in any physical activities. Your child will also become a better listener and a more focused student in school.
Skill #2: TEAMWORK - Teamwork is necessary for any young child to develop. The more confident your child is willing to work with others, the more he or she will accomplish. Your. child will develop diameter, which will help him or her make new friends and become a better leader in life.
Skill #3: CONTROL- Having control means making good decisions. Whether your child is handling a pet or handling a problem, he or she will learn to make the right decisions. Control builds confidence.
Skill #4:BALANCE - This skill is crucial to develop at an early age. Your child
beginning to participate in many physical activities that are challenging, like riding a two-wheel bicycle. Your child will develop good balance and a
better posture..
Skill #5: MEMORY - Developing a good memory is exercise for your child's brain. The sooner your child exercises, the smarter he or she will become. Our drills are constantly helping your child think and make smart decisions.
Skill #6: DISCIPLINE - Our instructors use the Little Ninja drills to help create thevision that discipline is fun and rewarding. Your child will take pride in doing the right thing. Your child will also follow directions better.
Skill #7: FITNESS - It is important for children to understand the importance of being healthy and physically frt. If your child does, not bum off excess energy exercising, how will he or she
bum off all of that energy?
Skill #8: COORDINATION - Your child will learn left from right. They will become better physical participants in sports and activities. The better coordination your child has, the fewer injuries your child will sustain.
In our Little Ninjas classes, we make learning fun and educational. Our goal is to help your preschooler be the best they can be at everything they put their minds to. Our motto is Little Ninjas today, leaders tomorrow.

Kickboxing
This is a co-ed class. Although it is structured more for the beginner, it is open to everyone. Class consists of stretches, conditioning drills, working out on the heavy bags, developing punches and kicks, combinations, blocking, self-defense, and light controlled sparring with minimum contact to give a realistic atmosphere to your training. This class also incorporates Muay Thai (clinch, knees, elbows). Shin guards
and boxing gloves are required (available at our facility). Nobody is here to knock out or hurt anyone. A great class for the beginner to learn kickboxing, get in shape, and learn self-defense, while the more advanced can keep up their skills and stay in shape.

Jiu Jitsu
You will learn take downs, double leg, single leg, and more. How to control your apponent from side control to full mount, how to defend yourself from your back, learn the guard passing the guard. Full mount and how to escape the full mount. (excellent for self defense) Once you have learned your basic take downs, control and escapes, you will be taught submissions and how to defend submissions i.e. arm bar, triangle, key lock, kimora, chokes and many more. This is a very technical class geared more for the beginner. Mandatory equipment: Umma T-Shirt, Shorts, Mouthpiece, Groin Protector

Boot Camp
This class is geared for toning up - between our cardio kicking and bootcamp workouts we guarantee results in three months. In this class you will work your entire body by using lightweights, resistant bands, yoga, plymetrics, core strengthening, medicine balls, balance calls and more. This class is also structured for the beginner to advaned. Come in and have a fun exciting workout. We go for results!

CARDIO KICKBOXING
The triple fat burning workout! Our Cardio Kickboxing will give you the results you've always wanted, also learning to defend yourself. You'll tighten, tone and firm your body while building a positive self-image, increasing your self-confidence and reducing your stress levels. Cardio Kickboxing is a high energy, explosive, exciting and motivating class. It is the greatest non-contact workout ever! This class is for everyone-begining to advanced. We have incorporated low impact warm-ups, stretching, heavy bag work ( kicking and punching), situps, lunges, squats. Class is held in a large room with a padded low impact floor. This class along with our bootcamp class is a perfect combination to tone up fast, we guarantee results! No more boring treadmills or gyms.
