Max Ceniceros
Max has been with UMMA for 6 years now. He currently trains and teaches full time, and competes in advanced grappling tournaments and professional MMA. Max has been a long time student of Erik Paulson, Javier Vazquez, and Jay Martinez; and has trained with and been partner to many of the best fighters around, such as Hector Lombard, Josh Barnett, Manny Gamburyan, Cub Swanson, Erin Toughill, James Wilks, Renato Babalu Sobral, Javier Vasquez, and more.
Under Max’s tutelage the UMMA team has gone on to strong winning records in the amateur MMA leagues (CAMO) and in grappling tournaments. Max believes in hard training but smart training, and not just showing techniques but teaching the applications of and the larger concepts behind. Whether you want to learn the fighting arts, compete, or just get in shape, UMMA’s combat classes will help get you there.
Max’s last professional fight was on Saturday November 19th with Respect in the Cage promotions. He won in the second round by guillotine choke! Max now has a record of 1 – 1
